Mula is the root — Ketu rules it and Nirriti, the goddess of dissolution, is its deity. It digs to the bottom of things and is not satisfied with the surface explanation of anything. Lives here often contain an early uprooting, and the gift that comes out of it is the ability to investigate without flinching. This is the nakshatra of researchers, healers and renunciates.
Strengths
Investigative depth, philosophical courage, and the ability to start again from nothing.
Needs watching
Upheaval, and destroying a foundation that could have been repaired.
Suited work: Research, medicine and pharmacology, philosophy and spirituality, investigation, geology.
Gana, yoni and nadi are the three attributes used in marriage matching; the varna and tattva describe temperament and element. The reading below describes the nakshatra itself, not the whole chart — the Moon's nakshatra is the strongest single indicator of temperament, but it is one factor among many.
