Bharani is the nakshatra of bearing — carrying something through to its end, including what is difficult. Its deity is Yama, who governs limits and consequences, and its symbol is the yoni, the place of birth. This is the sign of restraint learned the hard way: it holds enormous creative and sexual energy and the discipline question is what the whole nakshatra turns on.
Strengths
Endurance, creative force, moral seriousness, and the capacity to carry responsibility others put down.
Needs watching
Extremes — of appetite, of judgement, of effort. Struggle is accepted here more readily than it needs to be.
Suited work: Obstetrics and medicine, law and justice, the creative arts, agriculture, and anything involving cycles of birth and ending.
Gana, yoni and nadi are the three attributes used in marriage matching; the varna and tattva describe temperament and element. The reading below describes the nakshatra itself, not the whole chart — the Moon's nakshatra is the strongest single indicator of temperament, but it is one factor among many.
