How the numbers are made

Planetary positions come from the VSOP87 series, and the Moon from the method in Meeus's Astronomical Algorithms. Positions are corrected for the difference between terrestrial and universal time, for the light-time to each body and for annual aberration, then the Lahiri ayanamsha is subtracted to give sidereal longitudes. Houses use the whole-sign system.

How accurate it is

The Moon agrees with the reference worked examples to the last published digit, and the planets agree with Swiss Ephemeris to within about twenty arcseconds — far finer than any astrological reading depends on. Sunrise and sunset are found by solving for the horizon crossing directly, so they hold at high latitudes too.
